"Welcome to Galway Educate Together National School website. At the moment we are the only multi-denominational primary school in the city.
Our school is founded on four basic principles: it is multi-denominational, co-educational, child-centred and democratically run, all of which you will read about in another part of the website.
Fundamentally, these principles are aimed at creating the kind of school environment which allows for greater partnership in the education of our children.
The professionalism of our teachers combined with the interest and enthusiasm of our parents creates a vibrant and energetic learning environment in which children can develop their full potential in a safe and secure place. Our school aims to develop a community in which all members are valued for whatever contribution they can make.

Monday August 31st School opens at 8.50am
October 26th -30th Mid Term break School closes Friday 23rd Oct at 2.30pm* and re-opens Monday 2nd November
December 23rd - January 6th Holidays School closes at 12 noon on Tuesday 22nd December 2009 and re-opens Thursday 7th January 2010
February 18th & 19th Mid term break School closed
March 17th St Patrick's Day School closed
March 29th -April 9th Holidays School closes at 12 noon on Friday 26th March and reopens on Monday 12th April
May 3rd - 5th Extended Bank Holiday weekend School closed
June 3rd - 7th Extended Bank Holiday weekend School closed
July 1st Start of summer holidays School closes at 12 noon on Wednesday 30th June
*Junior and Senior Infants finish at the usual time of 1.30pm
On Staff meeting days school closes at 12 noon Every first Tuesday of a new month
